Marcel
Founder of Cell Tuition and a registered secondary maths teacher. BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Auckland with a focus on mathematics education, and the Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary). Marcel teaches maths in an Auckland secondary school alongside Cell Tuition, has tutored for more than ten years and over 300 students, and trains and supports every tutor on the team.
He has published research on how maths is taught in New Zealand classrooms, analysing PISA 2022 data, and runs a YouTube channel of maths and statistics lessons for NCEA, Cambridge and IB students.
Anyone can learn mathematics, as long as the teacher brings encouragement and motivation, knows the content deeply, and genuinely cares about the student and their achievements.Marcel, founder
Humam
Team leader at Cell Tuition and one of our longest-serving tutors. Humam tutors mathematics and calculus, physics, chemistry, biology and English from Year 6 to Year 13, and has helped students from catch-up in the junior years through to Level 3 physics and calculus. He is a VIP tutor under the programme for tutors with more than three years at Cell Tuition.
